Hello! My name is Tânia Neves, and I’m the only person behind the concept of “travelling with tania”. This is a personal blog-style website where I share contents and experience that are a direct result of my travels and my passion for travelling.

  • What Personal Data is Collected And Why Is It Collected?

We only collect information from you when you subscribe to the newsletter, fill out the contact form or enter information on our site. We may use the information we collect to send periodic emails regarding news on the website or special deals agreed with my partners.

The data I collect from you, is not shared, in anyways, with anyone else.

  • Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

  • Contact Forms

When subscribing to my newsletter, your name and email are registered on my newsletter subscribers. You can can opt-out at anytime, simply following the link on the emails you get from go@travellingwithtania.com, or simply by sending and email with “Remove” on the subject.

  • Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata is retained indefinitely. This is so I can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

  • How Is Your Data Protected

I do not use vulnerability scanning and/or scanning to PCI standards. This website provides mostly articles and information, and I never ask for credit card numbers. I use regular Malware Scanning. The website also uses an SSL certificate.

  • What Data Breach Procedures Are There In Place

In case of a data breach, you will be notified via email within 7 business days. I agree to the Individual Redress Principle which requires that individuals have the right to legally pursue enforceable rights against data collectors and processors who fail to adhere to the law. This principle requires not only that individuals have enforceable rights against data users, but also that individuals have recourse to courts or government agencies to investigate and/or prosecute non-compliance by data processors.

  • What Third Parties Data Is Received From

I do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside parties your Personally Identifiable Information. Occasionally, at my discretion, I may include or offer third-party products or services on this website. These third-party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. Therefore I have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, I seek to protect the integrity of this site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

  • Akismet

We collect information about visitors who comment on Sites that use our Akismet anti-spam service. The information we collect depends on how the User sets up Akismet for the Site, but typically includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and Site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).

This website uses features provided by the Vimeo video portal. This service is provided by Vimeo Inc., 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA.

  • Google Web Fonts

For uniform representation of fonts, this page uses web fonts provided by Google. When you open a page, your browser loads the required web fonts into your browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly.
